On 21 Jan 2019, Xin Hailiang, the 272pax luxurious high-speed passenger catamaran built by Aulong, held a grand maiden voyage ceremony at Xiangzhou Port! Zhang Bo, the Deputy Party Secretary of Wanshan District, Qu Xianghua, the Chief Engineer of Zhuhai Ministry of Transport and double as Deputy Director General of Zhuhai Port Authority, and more than 100 leaders and guests including Jin Tao, Ye Yuhong, Li Hongbin, Liang Kaibin, Ding Zhihui from BSJ management, etc. attended the ceremony. As the guest of honor, the Chairman of the Aulong Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., Yan Zhiqing, was invited to unveil the “Xin Hailiang” on the maiden voyage ceremony.

“Xin Hailiang” is another new masterpiece delivered to BSJ, the largest high-speed passenger ship operator in domestic China, which is designed by Austal and built by Aulong. The vessel is equipped with an imported propeller propulsion system with a speed of 27.52 knots (equivalent to approximately 51 km/h). Meanwhile, the application of a number of new processes and technologies brings the passenger cabins with low noise and vibration, improves the stability of navigation effectively and reduce passengers seasickness rate. For the vessel environment, “Xinhailiang” is painted with “flowing ribbon” to fully show the island style, and the whole cabin is more open and transparent by setting the viewing glass window at the front of the cabin, where passengers can enjoy the 180-degree sea view. The integrated design of transporting and sightseeing will optimize the travel experience of passengers.

It is reported that the inservice of “Xinhailiang” will not only enhance the land-traffic traffic, but also promote the realization of water bus. The advanced design of the vessel will also enhance the travel experience of passengers and boost the tourism development of Zhuhai islands.
